Hot new restaurant in SF is seeking an experienced Floor Manager! Candidate must excel at hospitality knowledge and have at least 3 years of experience. This Manager should have extensive fine dining experience and knowledge to prepare the staff to deliver excellent hospitality and service to our customers.
Preparing the restaurant for breakfast, lunch, dinner, in-room dining and private event services; Hiring and training all new staff, leading staff in daily line-up, educating staff and conducting tastings, quizzes, and service training and supervising floor service.
Performing mandatory administrative duties.
Duties will include;
Hiring and training FOH staff for proper service techniques and expectations.
Meeting with and calling professionals in the tourism and hospitality industries who can become partners in driving business to the restaurant.
Crafting promotional materials to convey the virtues and express value to potential clients.
Helping to book and coordinate private events. Working with Hotel sales team to manage and develop private dining events.
Attendance of weekly management meetings
Qualified candidates should possess:
A genuine passion for and strong knowledge of fine food
A minimum of three years' experience in a high-volume, fine dining or high-end casual restaurant.
Strong business acumen, and a head for numbers and business accounting.
Strong interpersonal skills, a learned manner for interacting appropriately with guests and employees
Experience using back-of-house administrative functions on a modern POS system (back of house Aloha experience a plus).
