Executive Chef needed for hi-volume, casual restaurant concept opening soon in the South Bay. We are looking for someone experienced in the traditional flavors of Japanese food with a delicate sense of taste. This is part of a very successful and well-known restaurant group in the SF Bay Area with Michelin star restaurants in their group and has multi-unit potential.
The Executive Chef is responsible for the daily operations of the kitchen. You will be responsible for both short- and long-range planning including the development and execution of new menus and pricing, equipment, budget planning, cost control, and profit contribution to the restaurant. You will have overall responsibility for the day to day activities in the kitchen and for maintaining complete control of the kitchen. You will be responsible for maintaining food safety, sanitary and safety standards in the workplace.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience as Chef de Cuisine or Executive Chef at a hi-volume, full-service restaurant. You will possess strong leadership ability and outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. You will set the standard for quality and cultivate top-performing teams and be a strong trainer and motivator.
