R&D Chef Needed for SF/Bay Area Hospitality Group

This innovative hospitality group is seeking an energetic, intelligent and motivated chef to join our R&D team. Qualified candidates will possess top culinary skills, be curious and have an analytical mind.  

Job Responsibilities:
  • Menu innovation and recipe development
  • Asses project operations, materials and marketplace and work to unify operational/culinary strengths and weaknesses
  • Collaborate with internal teams to fully understand and consider menu, operations and staffing models
  • Create unique operational and developmental parameters for multiple projects
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and food manufacturers
  • Leadership: mentor other chefs and facilitate their growth
 
Job Requirements:
  • 5-8 years experience cooking in a professional kitchen, preferably a mix of fine dining, casual and quick service
  • University and/or culinary degree
  • Comfort with MS Office and Mac OS
  • Excited by new environments and new skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Resourceful and interested in the latest industry news, food blogs, websites and trends
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects
