**Foodservice Director for Retirement Community**

Location: Atherton, CA
Director of Foodservice for a retirement community in beautiful Atherton CA. Great position with fantastic hours!! Tues-Sat primarily daytime. This is the corporate chef position you have been looking for!!

Responsibilities:
* Manage and train all kitchen personnel
* Supervise and coordinate all culinary activities
* Develop standards of quality and establish techniques for food presentation and service.
* Plan and price menu items
* Ensure operation and maintenance of equipment
* Manage proper safety and sanitation in the kitchen
* Create seasonal and innovative menus consisting of healthy choices for residents
* Act as a lead and team builder will food service staff
* Recruit, hire, train and discipline staff as needed
* Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and obtain the best quality, most cost effective pricing on food
* Oversee customer relations and programs
* Act as an integral part of the community management team
* Perform other tasks as assigned and In addition oversee special catering events as needed


Requirements:
*
Excellent verbal and written skills
* 5 years as Chef including 2 years management capacity
* Serve Safe Certification
* Current first aid cert and ability to administer as needed
* Leadership and team building skills
* A clear understanding and appreciation of the facilities Mission, Philosophy, and goals

Salary 70-75k plus Med Dental and 403B
